Free auto repair work order template
A printable repair order you can use today — no signup, no email
wall. Hit print and save it as PDF, or run off a stack for the counter. Built
by a working Audi/Porsche technician, so the fields are the ones that actually
matter when a job comes back six months later.
Why these fields and not others
- Concern, cause, correction — three separate boxes. The
single "description of work" box is what makes a comeback unwinnable. Six
months on you need the customer's own words, what you actually found, and
what you did to it, kept apart.
- Odometer in and out. Both. Every warranty claim on that
repair is measured against them, and "in" alone tells you nothing about a
part that failed 400 miles later.
- Part numbers next to descriptions. "Front pads" is not
a part. The number is what a warranty return and the next visit both need.
- A line for additional work authorized by phone. Verbal
approval that isn't written down is not approval. Who said yes, when, and
to what amount.
- Promised time on the face of it. The one thing every
customer calls about, and the one thing that never has a home on a
hand-drawn form.
No email required, no watermark, nothing to unsubscribe
from. Print it, copy it, change it — it's a form.
Or stop printing it
The same repair order, filled in once and doing the rest by itself: the
customer approves and e-signs from their phone, parts come off your shelf as
you bill them, and the invoice prints with your logo. Plus the part this
started as — enter the VIN and the fault codes, get the confirmed root cause
and the parts to fix it.
